All polling stations in Cumilla District are under IP camera coverage

IP cameras are being installed to ensure the security of voters at the entrance and exit of all the centers of the 11 constituencies of the district. These cameras will be monitored by Upazila Nirbahi Officers and assistant returning officers. Senior Cumilla District Election Officer Md. Munir Hossain Khan confirmed the matter.

Cumilla District Election Officer Md. Munir Hossain Khan conveyed this information to state news media BSS. He said that there are 1 thousand 4 hundred and 35 centers in 11 constituencies of Cumilla. Every polling station will be covered by IP cameras. Cameras are being installed to ensure the safety of voters in and out of the center and to monitor the environment of the center. Cameras will remain in place till the end of polling and declaration of results.

Cumilla returning officer Deputy Commissioner Khandokar M. Mushfiqur Rahman said, we have planned to bring all the centers under IP cameras. A total of 93 candidates are contesting in 11 seats of Cumilla.
According to the sources of the district administration, in 11 constituencies in Cumilla district, 371 polling stations have been identified as highly risky and 564 polling stations as risky. Apart from this, it has been reported that thousands of centers are being dealt with by the police. It is known that 682 BGB personnel have been deployed in 32 platoons in securing the polling centers. 180 personnel from RAB and additional 50 personnel will be deployed. A total of 17 thousand 540 Ansar battalion members have been deployed along with the railway line.

Moreover, more than 4000 policemen are working in the field. 105 patrolling teams are patrolling the important areas of the district. Meanwhile, 33 infantry units of the army have been deployed in Cumilla since January 3. 28 Executivs and additional 27 Executive Magistrates have been deployed. 25 Judicial Magistrates have also been deployed.
